How Did you Test Lens
Variety of landcapes and distances. Lens was test on a Nikon DF and setup as a non AI lens. Various handheld shutter speeds were used ranging from F/4.5 to F/16. Narrow focus range at F/4.5 with a manageable DOF at F8. Handheld shutter speed of 1/500 seemed to yield sharper images.
Lens Pros
The lens is certainly handsome and has a moderate manageable weight for handheld shooting.
Nice Focus and Aperture Rings
Very nice lens hood
Very nice travel case
Performs very well for portraits and close up shots
Fun to operate
Lens Cons
Bit heavy after extended usage.
A bit soft at long distances
A tiny bit of CA, but not enough to be a factor or visible in the vast majority images.
Overall Impressions
Lens is sharp close up, not so sharp at long distances. Very fun to use, very good Bokeh. Doesn't seem to flare or ghost and can take very nice closeups!
Final Comments
Fun Lnes a very nice Aquisition
